NC One Hundred (Fiscal Agent) for RoCo Latino Network
La Voz y Acción: Community Listening & Colibrí Program Expansion
In partnership with NC One Hundred, Rockingham County Latino Network (RCLN) will implement a two-part initiative designed to both understand and respond to the needs of Latino and Hispanic families in the Reidsville area by (1) hosting bilingual community listening sessions in the Latino community and (2) expanding the Colibri Program, a bilingual play-based family program.
The mission of the Rockingham County Latino Network (RCLN) is to connect Latino and Hispanic families to trusted information, community resources, and meaningful relationships. RCLN’s vision is a Rockingham County where Latino and Hispanic families feel seen, supported, and connected to one another and to the resources they need to thrive. RCLN will host bilingual community listening sessions to gather insight into the challenges, priorities, and experiences of local families. These sessions will provide safe, welcoming spaces where participants can share their perspectives and help identify gaps in areas such as healthcare access, education, food security, and language barriers.
RCLN will expand the Colibrí Program, a bilingual, play-based family program that supports early childhood development. Colibrí provides culturally responsive activities, bilingual learning opportunities, and a supportive environment where parents and children can learn, play, and build relationships together.
